FAQ and Terms

How much is a commission?

The cost of a commission can change based on different things. These things include how complicated it is, how long it takes to make, and what materials are needed (like embroidery and color details). If there are different materials or versions available, this might also affect how much it costs. I can talk to you about these options to help you keep within your budget. Please know that the most expensive part is usually the work itself. To get a price estimate, please send pictures, your height, and your size. My rate is between $24 and $28 per hour, depending on the costume and project type.

How is a commission charged?

  • Materials (Fabrics, notions, sewing/crafting supplies, etc & anything that goes towards into the project)

  • Labor (This includes custom measurements/patterning work, cutting, sewing & any work towards into the labor process)

  • Service fee (Research, PayPal Fee, obtaining materials, fabric care and wash, & etc)

  • Shipping

I charge for the cost of materials and half of labor fee upfront as a deposit (nonrefundable once project has started) as a deposit and the remaining labor when the costume is near completion. I will provide a receipt at the end with all the materials cost, labors, shipping, and other fees.

What is the service fee?

The service fee is a required charge separate from the labor. It includes the time I spend researching, buying, and cleaning materials, as well as the cost of traveling to get the fabrics.

Do you accept original designs and non cosplay/costumes request?

Sure! I'd be delighted to bring your ideas to life, whether it's a costume, clothing, or a custom design just for you! I'll collaborate with you throughout the entire process, from design concept to creating the garments.

How much time do I need to give before I can request a commission?

To ensure enough time, kindly request 2-3 months ahead. The timeframe may vary based on the occasion and complexity of the outfit.

Is there an option to pay more for a faster order?

I sometimes take rush orders for an extra cost, depending on how complicated the costume is and how much time I have. Just ask me if I'm busy or if I can do it and I'll give you a price!

Why is there an additional charge for my urgent order?

I have a line of customers who have pre-ordered and expect their orders on a specific date. Rushing your order means I'll prioritize it and work on it while I'm busy. This involves working extra hours to finish your order as quickly as I can.

Can I provide my own materials if I commission you?

Of course! If you want to purchase your own fabrics and materials, that's fine. I'll inform you if there are any extra charges for materials. And feel free to ask for fabric recommendations or ideas, I'm glad to assist!

Are you able to make armor, accessories, wings, or wigs?

I am not able to manage large armor and prop projects, but I can take care of smaller props and accessories as long as they are not too complex. If you have any doubts about the costume, please don't hesitate to ask me!

Sorry, I forgot to say that I also need something specific for the costume. Is it still possible for you to make it?

Unfortunately no. Before purchasing fabric, I need a clear list of all the costume requirements, like socks, gloves, necklaces, and other accessories. This ensures I buy the right amount of material and can save time by avoiding extra store visits. Typically, I discuss the costume specifics with the client upfront, ensuring I have an accurate checklist of their requested items.

Can I have progress pictures?

Yes, I often share photos to display the latest updates.

What is the form of payment?

I only accept Paypal for payment. I'll start working on your order after I receive the full payment for materials and a partial labor deposit in my Paypal account. The prices listed don't include shipping. I'll calculate the shipping fees based on the weight of the costume and the address it'll be shipped to. Once I determine the shipping cost, I'll inform you and you need to send the total payment including shipping via Paypal before I can ship your order. All commissions will be shipped together, not separately.

What if I am late on paying you?

When you hire me for a commission, I assume you have enough money to pay for it in full, just like any other product you purchase. It's unfair to make me wait for weeks or months for my payment after I've spent a lot of time on your costume. I expect payment when the commission is finished. If we don't agree on a different payment plan, a late fee may be added to your payment.

If my commission doesn’t fit perfectly, what about alterations?

If there are any problems with your order, I'll fix it for free once as a courtesy. You just need to cover the shipping costs. If the costume doesn't fit due to wrong measurements, there'll be a fee based on the difficulty of the fix. If you're not fully satisfied with your order, I'll do my best to address it before the deadline. Please email me with a clear description of the issues and what needs to be fixed.

Can I cancel the order?

I have a strict no refund policy for deposits once work begins. If you need to cancel while I'm working, I can give you what I've done and the materials used. Let me know before I start, as there may be a cancellation fee depending on how far I am.

When you hire me, my time is reserved until the project is finished. If you no longer need my services, please inform me as soon as possible. To save time and money, please tell me promptly if you need to cancel. I won't ask questions, I understand.

If you stop responding and I can't reach you, your order will be automatically cancelled. It's important to communicate and follow through until the order is complete.

By hiring me, you agreed that you are 18 years or older and have read and accepted the terms and conditions.
